Showtime’s Penny Dreadful starring Eva Green and Timothy Dalton has been renewed for a ten episode, second season.

With characters like Victor Frankenstein, The Creature, Dorian Gray, Van Helsing and (waiting for) Dracula, this series is a cocktail of literary figures and we are only half way through season one. I’m extremely excited by this news and can’t wait for the next episode this Sunday.

John Wesley Shipp has been cast in the 2014 television series ‘The Flash‘ as Dr. Henry Allen, (Barry Allen’s father). Shipp is known for his role as Barry Allen in the original Flash series which aired back in 1990. This isn’t the first time CW has paid tribute to previous actors, if you remember, Superman actors Dean Cain and Christoper Reeve both appeared in Smallville.
